Monday, January 12

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Babytime: 10-10:30am. Join them for songs, rhymes, stories and playtime while developing listening and language skills. Caregivers will have time to connect with each other while their babies learn and socialize. Designed for babies ages birth to 18 months with their caregivers, but older siblings are welcome. This event will take place at Parkside Early Childhood Center, 156 Lewis St. Rockford, MI 49341.

    • Rhyme Time Music & Movement: 11-11:30am. Get your wiggles out with rhymes, songs and musical activities. Move and groove together while strengthening motor, listening and early literacy skills. Designed for children ages 0-5 with their caregivers, but all ages are welcome. This event will take place at Parkside Early Childhood Center, 156 Lewis St. Rockford, MI 49341.

  • Onesie Party: 11am-8pm at St. Julian Winery. Rockford, MI. Join us at our Rockford tasting room for a Onesie Party! Grab a friend, get cozy in a onesie, and come out for a glass of wine, cocktail, or a tasting. Anyone that shows up in a onesie will get a free Apple Sauced shot. No reservations needed for groups smaller than 8.

Tuesday, January 13

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

  • Cozy Tales: 10:30-11am at Meijer Gardens. Grand Rapids, MI. Join us for Cozy Tales featuring Jaume Plensa-inspired stories that celebrate mindfulness, expression, and the beauty of letters and words. Through storytelling, and age-appropriate activities, we will explore creativity while building early literacy skills. Best for ages 5 or younger.

  • Work from the Greenhouse: 11am-4pm. Grand Rapids Downtown Market. LEAF the home office behind and catch some rays while you work in our rooftop Greenhouse! Grab a coffee, snack, or bite to eat from the Market Hall and set up shop in the Greenhouse for a remote work experience that will have you clearing out that inbox with a smile!

Wednesday, January 14

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

  • January Fiction Book Club: 6:30-7:30pm at Epilogue Books. Downtown Rockford, MI. Join them for their discussion of Mary Ann Shaffer's "The Guernsey Literary and Potato Peel Pie Society." Meet inside the store - bring a drink if you would like!

  • Mom & Baby Barre Class: 10:30-11:15am at Aptitude Fitness & Yoga. Move, connect, and build strength with your baby close to your heart. This 45-minute class combines barre-inspired movement with gentle strength and posture work designed for parents in the pre or postnatal season. Perfect for non-mobile babies, you can wear your little one in a carrier or have them nearby on a blanket. Expect low-impact movement that supports stability, confidence, and community - all in a welcoming space made for you and your baby.     • Those Magical Dames A History of Women in Magic: 6:30-7:30pm. Meet six women whose magic excited and entertained crowds from the 19th to 21st centuries and who proved that, while we often consider magic to be a male-dominated field, women can be the conjurers and not just the beautiful assistants.

  • Rustic Italian Cooking Class: 6-8pm. This Italian cooking class is designed to help you slow down and savor the moment. Discover the joy of preparing recipes with simple techniques. Whether you’re learning for weeknight meals, entertaining, or simply expanding your skills, this experience brings the comfort and soul of Italian cuisine right into your kitchen. Sign up online!

  • Free Thursdays: 5-8pm at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Downtown Grand Rapids. All guests enjoy free admission to GRAM every Thursday night (5 - 8 pm) thanks to the Meijer Foundation.

  • Luminary Bike Ride at World of Winter: 6-10pm. Starting at Field & Fire. 820 Monroe Ave NW #100

    The WoW Luminary Bike Ride is a festive winter group ride designed to bring the community together to explore city streets and enjoy World of Winter installations in a totally new way—by bike and by luminary light.   • Jazz Brunch at Meijer Gardens: 11am-1pm. We’re thrilled to welcome back the Jazz Brunch Series at Frederik Meijer Gardens & Sculpture Park—where smooth melodies meet an elevated brunch experience. Warm up your winter weekends with live jazz and a seasonally inspired menu, crafted by our Culinary Arts team to pair perfectly with each performance. The Jazz Brunch features communal seating—a warm, social setting that invites you to meet fellow music lovers and share the experience together. It’s a wonderful way to enjoy great food, live jazz, and good company all in one lively space.

  • Michigan Adventure Race: Looking for a race to keep you motivated this winter? Race with more than 400 others in the largest winter adventure race in the U.S. You and your teammate(s) will run on and off trail, navigate with a map, and snowshoe (short loop, snowshoes provided) and conquer Amazing Race-like challenges, collecting as many checkpoints as possible in three hours. 1-4 person teams + 2-5 person family division.   • The Intersection of Art and Nature Dinomite Designs: 11am-3pm at the Grand Rapids Public Museum. Downtown Grand Rapids. The Intersection of Art and Nature is a series of interactive programs that explores artistic inspiration drawn from our exhibits and nature.
    Inspired by the traveling Tyrannosaurus: Meet the Family, an exhibition created by the Australian Museum, guests of all ages will have an opportunity to create a variety of make-and-take projects inspired by T. rex and prehistoric times.

Sunday, January 18

  • Mountain Minis: 10am boys session & 11:30am coed session at Cannonsburg Ski Area. Belmont, MI. The Mountain Minis is a winter adventure team for kids ages 3-5. The program is designed to get kids outside and having fun in the snow! The Mountain Minis will spend the winter sledding, practicing balance on spooner boards, going on adventure hikes, playing games, drinking hot chocolate and more!   • Brunch & Bloody Mary Bar: 10am-2pm. We are excited to announce we are launching Brunch service with a Bloody Mary Bar! Brunch will be served from 10am-2pm, and will then switch over to our normal lunch/dinner menu until 7pm.
