Monday, June 2

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Babytime: 10-10:30am. Delight and engage your baby with songs, a story and playtime. Get to know other families and help your baby develop listening and language skills. For babies from birth to 18 months with a caregiver.

    • Gather 2 Grow! Lunches at the Library: 12-1pm. KDL is proud to partner with Feeding America West Michigan to provide free lunches for students under the age of 18 or up to 26 years of age for people with disabilities. (Easy pick-up, shelf-stable, nutritious meals are pre-packaged with several options available to fit almost any dietary need.)

  • FREE zumba at Rosa Parks Circle: 6:30-7:15pm. Zumba is a fast, fun, and upbeat dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music. Every class feels like a party, so you will burn calories without even realizing it! All levels welcome. Drop-in, no registration required. No equipment required. Please bring a water.   • FREE SoulfulMOTION at MacKay Jaycees Park: 6:30-7:15pm. SoulfulMOTION is an exciting class of fitness and inspiration. This is a high intensity interval training (HIIT) class set to Christian and inspirational music. Designed for anyone regardless of age or fitness level. Drop-in, no registration required! No equipment required. Please bring a water. Location: 2531 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, MI

  • FREE Line Dancing at Richmond Park: 7-7:45pm. Enjoy line dancing while exercising mind, body, and spirit. In QK Line Dance we dance to all genres of music and everyone is welcome! Class will meet in the pool deck area. Drop-in, no registration required! No equipment required. Please bring a water.

  • Lakes Elementary Time Capsule Unveiling: 6-8pm. Head to Lakes Elementary to see a peek back into history! Check out what Lakes students from 1999-2000 school year stashed in the library wall and what they thought the future would look like. This event is open to the public; pass along to any former Lakes students you know who might be interested!

Tuesday, June 3

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Nurture your toddler's love of books through music, movement and stories while helping to develop their language, motor and social skills. 

    • Gather 2 Grow! Lunches at the Library: 12-1pm. KDL is proud to partner with Feeding America West Michigan to provide free lunches for students under the age of 18 or up to 26 years of age for people with disabilities. (Easy pick-up, shelf-stable, nutritious meals are pre-packaged with several options available to fit almost any dietary need.)

    • Chess Anyone: 6-7:30pm. Drop-in and play chess at the library! All skill levels welcome. An adult is usually on hand to help with your game or match you with a worthy opponent.

  • Trail Tuesdays at Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Join us for Trail Tuesdays! Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. We’ll raise a glass to that! Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten if you would like for your four legged friend to join. Grab the family and friends for some exercise followed by a Biergarten meal and a pint.

  • FREE Glute Aerobics Class at 555 Monroe: 6:30-7:15pm. Ready to sculpt your glutes and tone your lower body? Glute Aerobics is a fun bodyweight rhythmic class! This class will leave you feeling strong, accomplished, and sweaty by incorporating lower body exercises, dance fitness, high reps, and cardio blasts. Drop-in, no registration required! Suggested Equipment: Mat, Towel, Water

  • FREE Barre at the Blue Bridge: 5:30-6:15pm. Barre is a low impact, high intensity total body workout that incorporates elements of pilates, ballet and yoga. This workout is fast paced and set to fun upbeat music. Barre is a great workout for any fitness level as there are options to level up or down based on your own body. Barre is for EVERYBODY. Drop-in, no registration required! Suggested Equipment: Mat, Towel, Water.

  • Taco Tuesday at Cannonsburg: 5-9pm. Taco Tuesday takes place on the back deck every Tuesday. There will be a variety of tacos including pork, beef, chicken and always have a veggie option! The Sweet Spot (also on the back deck) for adult slushies, frozen cocktails, ice cream and other treats! Location: Cannonsburg Ski Area 6800 Cannonsburg Rd NE.

  • Grand Rapids Art Museum Free Tuesdays: 12-5pm. Free admission all day made possible by The Meijer Foundation.

  • Run GR Summer Kickoff at Third Nature Brewing Company: 6pm. Join 300+ members of RunGR as we kick off the 2025 summer training season! We’ll start the evening with a quick overview of RunGR and meet our President & Coaches, followed by an easy run on the White Pine Trail. Come back after the run and hang out at Third Nature Brewing.

Wednesday, June 4

Class will begin with gentle movement and breathing, progressing to standing sequences and finally ending with calm resting poses. Drop-in, no registration required!   • Yoga at the Downtown Market: 10-11am. Start your midweek market trip with a rejuvenating, community‑focused yoga flow led by the instructors of Grand Rapids Yoga Company! After class, stay and shop the Wednesday Farmers Market from 8am - 2pm.

  • Cardio Strength at Aptitude: 8:30-9am. Join them all summer long for fun, affordable, and energizing community fitness + yoga classes! Whether you’re looking to build strength, find calm, or just get moving with a welcoming group, they’ve got a class for you. Buy a $5 drop-in credit on our app and redeem it for any of the three community classes all summer long! All fitness levels are welcome — bring a mat, bring a friend, and join the fun.

  • Line Dancing Lessons at St. Julian Winery: 6:30-7:30pm. Join us in the Rockford tasting room parking lot every Wednesday this June for a lively line dancing experience! Led by expert instructor Ms. Tammy, she'll have you two-stepping and having a blast in no time—no prior dance experience needed. Whether you're a seasoned dancer or just looking to try something new, Ms. Tammy will guide you through the basic steps and get everyone moving. Saturday, June 7

  • Rockford’s Start of Summer Celebration: 8am-11pm. Join us for Rockford's 56th Annual Start of Summer Celebration held June 5-8, 2025 in downtown Rockford!   • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Rockford Farmers Market: The Rockford Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am-1pm May 3, 2025 through October 25, 2025. The Farmers Market is located in the newest city lot behind the Post Office with an entrance off Main St across the street from Rocky's.

  • Free Fishing Weekend: All fishing license fees will be waived for two days. Residents and out-of-state visitors may enjoy fishing on both inland and Great Lakes waters for all species of fish. All fishing regulations will still apply. A Recreation Passport will NOT be required for entry into state parks and boating access sites during Free Fishing Weekends. 

Sunday, June 8
