Monday, October 20

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Babytime: 10am-10:30am. Join us for songs, rhymes, stories and playtime while developing listening and language skills. Caregivers will have time to connect with each other while their babies learn and socialize. Designed for babies ages birth to 18 months with their caregivers, but older siblings are welcome.

    • Rhyme Time Music & Movement: 11:30am-12:30pm. Get your wiggles out with rhymes, songs and musical activities. Move and groove together while strengthening motor, listening and early literacy skills. Designed for children ages 0-5 with their caregivers, but all ages are welcome.

Tuesday, October 21

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Toddler Time: 10-10:30am. Enjoy stories, music and rhymes while building early literacy and social skills. Designed for children ages 1-3 with their caregivers, but all ages are welcome.

  • Trail Tuesdays at Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Join us for Trail Tuesdays! Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. We’ll raise a glass to that! Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten if you would like for your four legged friend to join. Grab the family and friends for some exercise followed by a Biergarten meal and a pint.

  • Autumn Nights at Meijer Gardens: 6-8pm. Join us every Tuesday evening in October for Autumn Nights at Meijer Gardens! Wander the new illuminated Pumpkin Walk in the Gwen Frostic Woodland Shade Garden, where lantern pumpkins and gourds glow among the trees. Play lawn games on the DeVos Van Andel Piazza, take in live music at Michigan’s Farm Garden, and relax with unplugged performances in the Amphitheater. Savor seasonal snacks, hot cider, and drinks while enjoying the vibrant colors of fall and extended evening hours. Members receive free admission!

Wednesday, October 22

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Magical Friends: 10am-12pm. Do you love magical, mythical creatures? Get ready to roar like a dragon, jump like a unicorn and make plenty of whimsical creations.

  • Rockin’ Halloween Bash Kids Paint Party: 6-7:30pm. Grand Rapids, MI. Calling all little ghouls, ghosts, and goblins! Get your costumes ready and join us for a spooktacular Halloween party filled with creativity, candy, and costume fun! In partnership with Forest Hills Community Services, event will be at the Forest Hills Fine Arts Center. Get tickets online.

Thursday, October 23

  • Trunk or Treat in the Biergarten: 5-8pm at Third Nature Brewing Co. Rockford, MI. Join them this Halloween for a fun-filled event packed with thrills, treats and memories you won't forget. We'll have live music, giveaways, s'mores kits and more! Costumes encouraged.

  • Stock the Shelves: 6-8pm at Epilogue Books. Downtown Rockford. The Rockford Education Foundation invites you to browse the shelves at Epilogue, enjoy snacks from Thought Design, drinks from Quickwater Coffee, and help us fund new books for Rockford schools! Bring a friend and be part of making a local impact and community connections - one book at a time. There is no ticket admission to this event. Light appetizers will be served and beverages are available for purchase. Sponsor the event or donate online here

Friday, October 24

  • Rockford Trunk or Treat: 4:30-7pm. NEW LOCATION this year! Local businesses will be set up in the Rockford Rams Soccer Stadium/Parkside parking lot to hand out candy. There will be balloon animals and photo ops while you wait to enter! Free for all to attend! Costume contest, live music, entertainment, and more! 

  • Ada Pumpkin Prowl: 5pm. Ada, MI. Get ready for a spook-tacular trick-or-treating adventure along River St (closed to traffic for the event), in the Dixon Lot and throughout Ada Village!   • The Haunted Forest: 6:30-8:30pm at Cannonsburg. Belmont, MI. Dare to enter the woods at Cannonsburg Ski Area this October, where every twisted turn leads deeper into your worst nightmares. You'll encounter deranged clowns lurking in the dark, demons that hunger for new victims, and a butchers slaughter zone where the screams WON'T STOP.   • Zoo Goes Boo: 10am-5pm at John Ball Zoo. Grand Rapids, MI.   • RAM Out Pediatric Cancer Football Game Benefiting Anni’s Army Foundation: 7pm at Carlson-Munger Stadium. Rams vs. West Ottawa.

  • $2 Beers & $2 Dogs at the Grand Rapids Griffins: 7pm at the Van Andel Arena. Every Friday, enjoy $2 domestic drafts and $2 hot dogs from 6-8 p.m., at select stands while supplies last.

Saturday, October 25

  • Saturday Farmers Market: 8-2pm at Fulton Street Market. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI.

  • Rockford Farmers Market: The Rockford Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am-1pm May 3, 2025 through October 25, 2025. The Farmers Market is located in the newest city lot behind the Post Office with an entrance off Main St across the street from Rocky's.

  • Howl-O-Ween Trick or Treat: 1pm-4pm at Fido & Stitch. Downtown Rockford. You and your pup will trick or treat from business to business downtown Rockford, collecting special treats from each location. Businesses may offer special discounts for participants as well.   • Pumpkin Smash N Bash: Saturday & Sunday. 9am-5pm at Ed Dunneback & Girls Fruit Farm. Grand Rapids, MI. The grand fall finale! Watch a 1,000-lb Pumpkin drop on a Car!   • The Spooky Forest: 6-8:30pm. The Spooky Forest is a fun, interactive Halloween experience for all ages. The 1/2 mile walk through the woods is lit with overhead lights and has popular music soundtracks playing throughout. Spooky Halloween props line the woods. The best part of the Spooky Forest is that the entire family can be active and together while enjoying Halloween. Sign up online.

  • Dog Costume Contest: 2:30-4:30pm at Third Nature Brewing Co. Bring your fur baby in their Halloween costumes to the Biergarten for a costume contest! We're partnering with Fido & Stitch Rockford and you'll have the opportunity to win a gift card to 3N & Fido & Stitch! Feel free to go for a walk on the White Pine Trail before/after and grab a drink or a snack with your four legged friend in our Biergarten. Voting will take place at 4:30 pm.

  • Applewood HostFest: 12pm-7pm at Frugthaven Farm. Greenville, MI. Celebrate fall with us at our Høstfest presented by Applewood!   • Merchants Macabre Oddities Market: 10am-7pm at the Downtown Market. Grand Rapids, MI. This peculiar gathering of unusual vendors and mysterious merchants will present their wares under the Market Shed where taxidermy, skeletal specimens, tarot cards, art prints, and true crime memorabilia rule supreme! Make your way through the intriguing offerings of this oddities market, then head inside for a bite to eat from the Market Hall.
