Monday, September 8

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Babytime: 10am-10:30am. Join us for songs, rhymes, stories and playtime while developing listening and language skills. Caregivers will have time to connect with each other while their babies learn and socialize. Designed for babies ages birth to 18 months with their caregivers, but older siblings are welcome.

    • Rhyme Time Music & Movement: 11:30am-12:30pm. Get your wiggles out with rhymes, songs and musical activities. Move and groove together while strengthening motor, listening and early literacy skills. Designed for children ages 0-5 with their caregivers, but all ages are welcome.

    • Krause Evening Book Club: 6:30pm-7:30pm. Join a fun, informal discussion of great books. This month, we'll discuss The Rosary Murders by William Kienzle. Copies are available at the Krause Memorial Branch.

  • Kent District Library - East Grand Rapids Branch Events:

    • Babytime: 9:30-10am. Join us for songs, rhymes, stories and playtime while developing listening and language skills. Caregivers will have time to connect with each other while their babies learn and socialize. Designed for babies ages birth to 18 months with their caregivers, but older siblings are welcome.

    • Coffee: Roasts, Types & Flavors: 6:30-7:30pm. There's an art to roasting coffee, and Tess Dodd from The Last Mile Cafe in Grand Rapids is here to give an overview of the different types and how roasting affects the flavor. Coffee will be available to taste and determine for yourself.

  • Fulton Street Graveyard Walking Tour: 6-7:30pm. Grand Rapids, MI. Join us for a 90-minute guided walking tour through this historic resting place, where humble headstones mark the lives of Grand Rapids’ original pioneers. Who were they? What did they leave behind? Let your curiosity lead the way as we uncover dramatic tales of grit, growth, and ghostly echoes from the past. Led by the captivating Caroline Cook of Grand Rapids Running Tours, this immersive experience blends storytelling, history, and a touch of mystery. Tuesday, September 9

  • Hit the Trail Tuesday Women’s Run Club: 7:15pm. Join their private Facebook group for location information. No registration required.

  • Trail Tuesdays at Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Join us for Trail Tuesdays! Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. We’ll raise a glass to that! Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten if you would like for your four legged friend to join. Grab the family and friends for some exercise followed by a Biergarten meal and a pint.

  • The Art of Meditation: 4:30-6pm at the Grand Rapids Art Museum. Downtown Grand Rapids. Explore the benefits of creative awareness practice on our mental and physical well-being. In this session, we will explore a new way of looking deeply at art through a guided meditation as you engage the artwork on view in David Hockney: Perspective Should Be Reversed. The session will conclude with a discussion of our experiences, and practical ways to build on these practices in your own life. Get tickets online.

  • East Grand Rapids Farmers Market: 8:30am-1pm. In the NORTH PARKING LOT of the East Grand Rapids Community Center on Thursdays this July & August each week from 8:30am-1:00pm for the 2025 Farmers Market season!

  • Game Day Cooking Class: Flavorful Tailgate Bites: 6-8pm at Thought Design in Downtown Rockford. Whether you’re tailgating, hosting a watch party, or just love great snacks, this class will teach you how to master classic game day dishes from scratch. Purchase tickets & sign up online.

  • Rockford Farmers Market: The Rockford Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am-1pm May 3, 2025 through October 25, 2025. The Farmers Market is located in the newest city lot behind the Post Office with an entrance off Main St across the street from Rocky's.

  • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Flower & Flow: 9am-11:30am at Myers Lake Farm Stand & Florals. Rockford, MI. Join us for a morning yoga class in one of the flower fields. Then stroll any of our fields to cut your own bouquet to take with you.

  • LMCU Bridge Run: 8am at the 6th Street Bridge. Downtown Grand Rapids. Join us for the tradition that started on the second Sunday after Labor Day in 2002. The LMCU Bridge Run offers participants a 5K and 10 K option that takes them through the streets of downtown Grand Rapids, over the historic bridges, and through a few of the great parks.
