Monday, August 18

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Gather 2 Grow! Lunches at the Library: 12-1pm. KDL is proud to partner with Feeding America West Michigan to provide free lunches for students under the age of 18 or up to 26 years of age for people with disabilities. (Easy pick-up, shelf-stable, nutritious meals are pre-packaged with several options available to fit almost any dietary need.)

  • FREE zumba at Rosa Parks Circle: 6:30-7:15pm. Zumba is a fast, fun, and upbeat dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music. Every class feels like a party, so you will burn calories without even realizing it! All levels welcome. Drop-in, no registration required. No equipment required. Please bring a water. Location: 135 Monroe Center St NW, Grand Rapids

  • Moving to the Music at Lena Meijer Children’s Garden: 10:30am-1:30pm. Be part of our musical jam! Play an instrument, clap your hands, tap your toes, lend a voice. Follow along with local musicians as we make music. Inside Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.

Tuesday, August 19

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

  • Rotary Rocks for Shelterbox: 6:30pm. Garden Club Park band shell in downtown Rockford. Fan favorites Roosevelt Diggs will perform at 6:30PM, blending Folk, Country, Bluegrass, Blues, Rockabilly and Rock into a melting pot of true Americana followed by the ever popular Nicholas James and the Bandwagon. Donations collected to support Shelterbox as they work to ensure no one is without shelter after a disaster. Enjoy great music for a great cause!

  • Hit the Trail Tuesday Women’s Run Club: 7:15pm. Join their private Facebook group for location information. No registration required.

  • Trail Tuesdays at Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Join us for Trail Tuesdays! Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. We’ll raise a glass to that! Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten if you would like for your four legged friend to join. Grab the family and friends for some exercise followed by a Biergarten meal and a pint.

  • Taco Tuesday at Cannonsburg: 5-9pm. Taco Tuesday takes place on the back deck every Tuesday. There will be a variety of tacos including pork, beef, chicken and always have a veggie option! The Sweet Spot (also on the back deck) for adult slushies, frozen cocktails, ice cream and other treats! Location: Cannonsburg Ski Area 6800 Cannonsburg Rd NE.

  • Grand Rapids Art Museum Free Tuesdays: 12-5pm. Free admission all day made possible by The Meijer Foundation.

Wednesday, August 20

  • Wednesdays On Wealthy: 4-8pm. Gaslight Village, GR. Live music, yard games, business discounts, a food truck, and more. Grab takeout from your favorite Gaslight Village restaurants and enjoy it outside in Regatta Plaza while soaking up the summer vibes.

  • Gazelle Elite X Third Nature Brewing Summer Nights: 6pm at Third Nature Brewing Company. Rockford, MI. Come out for a 4-mile pace-friendly jog or walk out on the beautiful White Pine Trail - Rockford, with Gazelle Elite. Afterwards we'll enjoy some drinks, food, and post joggin' or walkin' fireside chats with GE athletes, partners, and the rest of the growing community.

  • Farm Adventures Flower Power: 6-7pm at Plainsong Farm. Rockford, MI. The flowers are blooming at Plainsong! In this session children will learn all about the beautiful world of flowers. We’ll harvest flowers, dissect a flower, taste a flower and end with some fun flower crafts - a mini flower loom, flower crown and a bouquet to bring home. This program is $5/child or $10 max for siblings. Get tickets online.

  • North Kent Connect Farmer’s Market: 3-6pm. Rockford, MI. Shop North Kent Connect and an open-air Farmer's Market while listening to all your favorite tunes!

  • Live Jazz on Bridge Street: 6-8pm. Enjoy live jazz while sipping and snacking from your favorite nearby bars and restaurants—all part of the Social Zone, so you can bring your food and drinks right to your seat! No tickets, no fuss—just show up, settle in, and enjoy the music.

  • Relax at Rosa Park Circle: 12-1:30pm. Downtown Grand Rapids. This free lunchtime concert series feat. a variety of local bands, food trucks, and performers every Thursday from May 1 to September 11.

  • East Grand Rapids Farmers Market: 8:30am-1pm. In the NORTH PARKING LOT of the East Grand Rapids Community Center on Thursdays this July & August each week from 8:30am-1:00pm for the 2025 Farmers Market season!

  • Hardy: 6:30pm at the Van Andel Arena. Downtown, Grand Rapids. Hardy brings his Jim Bob World Tour to Van Andel Arena on Thursday, August 21, 2025 at 6:30PM. With Koe Wetzel, Stephen Wilson Jr., Sikarus. Purchase tickets online.

Friday, August 22

  • Food Truck Fridays at Riverside Park: 5-9pm. Join us each week as we have around 20 food trucks, merchant vendors and live music each and every week.

  • Ada Village Sidewalk Sales: 10am-6pm. It's time for the best sales of the year at some of your favorite Ada Village businesses. Shop sales on the side walks, under tents, or inside businesses.

Saturday, August 23

  • Mitchell’s Run Thru Rockford: 8:30am. Downtown Rockford, MI. Join us for the 27th annual Mitchell's Run thru Rockford! Taking place Saturday, Aug. 23, there is a 5K walk/run as well as a Kids K. 100% of proceeds are donated to Parent Project Muscular Dystrophy. Starting on the Bridge Street Bridge, the race loops through downtown Rockford, then along Rouge River on White Pine Trail, finishing on historic Squires Street. Sign up online!

  • Mariachi Saturday at F’n K Tacos: 11am-2pm. Downtown Rockford, MI. Join them for a lively Saturday at F’n K Tacos with Gabriel Estrada III! Enjoy the sounds of live mariachi and traditional Mexican folk music while you dine. This summer series brings culture, community, and unforgettable vibes to the patio. Breakfast Burritos 9am-12pm. Tacos 11am-8pm

  • Rockford Farmers Market: The Rockford Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am-1pm May 3, 2025 through October 25, 2025. The Farmers Market is located in the newest city lot behind the Post Office with an entrance off Main St across the street from Rocky's.

  • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Yoga by the Dam with Aptitude: 8:30-9:30am. Start your Saturday off right with FREE community yoga by the beautiful Rogue River, presented by Aptitude Fitness + Yoga! Join us for a rejuvenating morning of yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathwork) overlooking the scenic views of the river.
