Monday, August 11

  • Krause Memorial Library Events:

    • Gather 2 Grow! Lunches at the Library: 12-1pm. KDL is proud to partner with Feeding America West Michigan to provide free lunches for students under the age of 18 or up to 26 years of age for people with disabilities. (Easy pick-up, shelf-stable, nutritious meals are pre-packaged with several options available to fit almost any dietary need.)

    • Evening Book Club: 6:30-7:30pm. Join a fun, informal discussion of great books. This month, we'll discuss The Secret Life of Sunflowers by Márta Molnár.

  • Pups & Pints: 5-8pm at Archival Brewing. Belmont, MI. Bring your furry friends and kick off the week at Archivals'‘s dog-friendly biergarten and deck! Pink Paw Patisserie dog treat truck will be there with tasty treats for your pup while you enjoy a cold pint!

  • FREE zumba at Rosa Parks Circle: 6:30-7:15pm. Zumba is a fast, fun, and upbeat dance fitness class that incorporates Latin and international music. Every class feels like a party, so you will burn calories without even realizing it! All levels welcome. Drop-in, no registration required. No equipment required. Please bring a water. Location: 135 Monroe Center St NW, Grand Rapids

  • Moving to the Music at Lena Meijer Children’s Garden: 10:30am-1:30pm. Be part of our musical jam! Play an instrument, clap your hands, tap your toes, lend a voice. Follow along with local musicians as we make music. Inside Frederik Meijer Gardens and Sculpture Park.

Tuesday, August 12

  • Rogue River Blues Series: 7-9pm. Join us in Garden Club Park on Tuesday's from 7-9pm for live music near the dam. Grab some food and drinks from your favorite local spots before listening to live music and dancing the night away. Get the full event list HERE.

  • Hit the Trail Tuesday Women’s Run Club: 7:15pm. Join their private Facebook group for location information. No registration required.

  • Trail Tuesdays at Third Nature Brewing Company: 5-8pm. Join us for Trail Tuesdays! Every Tuesday stop by between 5 and close and run, walk, bike on the White Pine Trail and receive $2 off your first post workout pint. We’ll raise a glass to that! Be sure to check-in at the host stand. Dogs are welcome in our Biergarten if you would like for your four legged friend to join. Grab the family and friends for some exercise followed by a Biergarten meal and a pint.

  • Taco Tuesday at Cannonsburg: 5-9pm. Taco Tuesday takes place on the back deck every Tuesday. There will be a variety of tacos including pork, beef, chicken and always have a veggie option! The Sweet Spot (also on the back deck) for adult slushies, frozen cocktails, ice cream and other treats! Location: Cannonsburg Ski Area 6800 Cannonsburg Rd NE.

  • Grand Rapids Art Museum Free Tuesdays: 12-5pm. Free admission all day made possible by The Meijer Foundation.

  • Food Truck Tuesdays: 5-8pm at Forrest Hills park. (847 Greenbrier Dr SE, Grand Rapids) Click here for the full 2025 schedule.

  • Waffle Stix food truck Tuesdays: 6am-1pm at St. Julian Winery. Rockford, MI. Whether you’re craving sweet, savory, or both, they've got you covered—and don’t forget their coffee to keep you fueled! And here’s the best part: swing by our patio between 11 AM and 1 PM to enjoy your waffles, and you can add a refreshing mimosa for just $5!

  • August Wine School at Reds: 7-9pm. Join Reds on August 12th for our Under the Tuscan Sun Wine School. Haven’t been to Wine School? Each month they choose a different theme and bring in a wine specialist to host the event. Guests enjoy 5 wine pours paired with 3 small plate courses and a fun class about the selection. The cost to attend is $55 per person, which includes the wine, food, and class. Purchase tickets online.

Wednesday, August 13

  • Wednesdays On Wealthy: 4-8pm. Gaslight Village, GR. Live music, yard games, business discounts, a food truck, and more. Grab takeout from your favorite Gaslight Village restaurants and enjoy it outside in Regatta Plaza while soaking up the summer vibes.

  • DIY Bouquet Making: 5-6pm at Plainsong Farm. Rockford,MI. You'll learn some tips for harvesting flowers and design ideas for bouquets. You'll harvest and create you own bouquet to bring home. This workshop is $15/person and will be held at Plainsong Farm (6677 12 Mile Rd NE, Rockford). Get tickets online.

  • August Book Club: 6:30-7:30pm at Epilogue Books. Join us for our discussion of Erin A. Craig's "Small Favors."

Thursday, August 14

  • Relax at Rosa Park Circle: 12-1:30pm. Downtown Grand Rapids. This free lunchtime concert series feat. a variety of local bands, food trucks, and performers every Thursday from May 1 to September 11.

  • East Grand Rapids Farmers Market: 8:30am-1pm. In the NORTH PARKING LOT of the East Grand Rapids Community Center on Thursdays this July & August each week from 8:30am-1:00pm for the 2025 Farmers Market season!

  • Kent County North Community Fest: 3-7pm. Join them for a first-ever, festive, family-friendly summer celebration at the Kent County North Campus in Cedar Springs. This event will be filled with activities, resources, and fun for all ages! Location: 4191 17 Mile Road NE, Cedar Springs, MI 49319

  • Free Family Paddle Night: 4-8pm at Riverside Park. Grand Rapids, MI. Bring your family, your friends, or just yourself and join us at Riverside Park Lagoon for a FREE paddle night! Whether you're trying something new or looking for a fun weekend activity, kayaking at Riverside Park is a great way to connect with nature, right in the heart of the city!   • Danish Festival: 9am-7pm. Downtown Greenville, MI. Join us in Downtown Greenville, MI for the 61st Annual Danish Festival Artisan Fair & Boutique and Food Court! Over 150 unique craft vendor booths, food booths, and non-profit organizations will offer something for everyone!

  • Silent Disco on the Blue Bridge: 6-10pm. Downtown Grand Rapids, MI. Get ready for a Silent Disco party on the Blue Bridge in downtown Grand Rapids! Switch between 3 different music channels, so you have control of the soundtrack all night long. Whether you're into pop, throwbacks, or EDM, there’s something for everyone.

Saturday, August 16

  • Rockford Farmers Market: The Rockford Farmers Market is open every Saturday from 8am-1pm May 3, 2025 through October 25, 2025. The Farmers Market is located in the newest city lot behind the Post Office with an entrance off Main St across the street from Rocky's.

  • Saturday Farmer’s Market @ Fulton Street Market: 10am-1pm. 1145 Fulton St E, Grand Rapids, MI. Second Season starts on November 2nd and goes through April 26th. We are open on Saturdays from 10 AM - 1 PM.

  • Yoga by the Dam with Aptitude: 8:30-9:30am. Start your Saturday off right with FREE community yoga by the beautiful Rogue River, presented by Aptitude Fitness + Yoga! Join us for a rejuvenating morning of yoga, meditation, and pranayama (breathwork) overlooking the scenic views of the river. This all-levels, beginner-friendly class welcomes everyone, so bring your family and friends along for some yoga fun!   • Peaches and Petals: 9-5pm at Ed Dunneback & Girls Fruit Farm. Grand Rapids, MI. Come celebrate all things peach on the farm! Walk thru the wildflower fields and enjoy out pollinator alley! Live music, food sampling and fun for all ages! Get tickets online.

  • Shane Gillis: 8pm at Van Andel Area. Grand Rapids, MI.
